Located in Wilmette, Illinois, Ronald Knox Montessori School (RKMS) is a parent-owned and professionally operated, non-profit Montessori preschool, serving children between the ages of 15 months and 6 years. RKMS was founded in 1963 by parents interested in the Montessori approach to education. Located just sixteen miles north of downtown Chicago, the school is nestled within 30 acres of open property in a quiet residential neighborhood.

Adhering to the Montessori philosophy, RKMS creates a rich and stimulating environment that meets each child's developmental needs. Each classroom is headed by a Directress who is certified by either the American Montessori Society or the Association Montessori International. Classrooms are fully equipped with a wide variety of materials and furnishings, scaled to a child's size.
