"Education is a natural process ... and is acquired not by listening to words, but by experiences in the environment." Visit one of our classrooms and the first thing you'll notice is how engaged and interested the children are in their various activities. That's because children are free to work at their own pace with materials they have chosen, either alone or with others. Because they are able to pursue their own interests largely uninterrupted, they develop greater concentration and problem solving skills. Our classrooms are designed to mirror the home, each housing children of mixed ages. Here, children learn to interact with each other and their environment. They learn to take care of themselves, each other and the things around them for the benefit of all. Feel free to explore our classroom by clicking on the various work areas. You'll see how we're organized and you'll learn more about the Montessori approach to education. |
