"The child is both hope and a promise for mankind." Volunteering is a critical part of the Montessori experience. We depend on committed and involved parents who contribute their time, talent and resources to our children and our community. It is widely accepted that children benefit from their families' involvement with their school. Conversely, parents gain a greater understanding of their child's development through active involvement and participation. RKMS is grateful for the spirit of generosity that exists within our community of families. The school relies on the experience and expertise of a volunteer board of parents who have children currently enrolled in the school. These parents oversee the strategic, financial, marketing, fundraising, volunteer and community-relations efforts of the school, and regularly consult with the administration on matters affecting the faculty, staff and RKMS community.
