The Lunch program is available for children who are enrolled in either the AM or PM Early Childhood program. The Lunch program meets five days a week from 11:30am-12:30pm. The purpose of the Lunch program is to provide children with an opportunity to extend the Montessori experience to mealtime and work toward grace and courtesy, as well as increase awareness of good nutrition and practice a healthy lifestyle. The Lunch program allows the children to eat a bag lunch (or participate in the “Gourmet Gorilla” hot lunch program) with their peers. The children set the tables with glass plates and cups as well as cloth napkins and tablecloths. The tables are adorned with fresh flowers and often soft music plays in the background. |
